Running on all 12 with Haltech

After successful fire ups on each bank independently, we switched to a high torque starter and configured the Haltech Elite 2500 to run our first prototype engine. The ignition for each bank is setup like a waste-spark straight 6, with one firing in reverse order. We are not aware of this being done before with one ECU, but the Haltech did not let us down. Even GM used two independent computers to run their prototype V10s.

After the configuration change we crossed our fingers, pushed the button, and had a running V12 LS1 idling away on the engine stand! It looks and sounds like a WWII fighter plane when given some revs so we can’t wait to get this on the dyno for some initial break in pulls.
